I met this lady for the first time when she came to our retreat at Tapos
She brought her 8 years old daughter Rachel and baby Grace,
later I know she still have an older daughter and a son at home.
She’s a friend of Shella because Rachel and Celine went school together.
Even though she’s new to us but she’s blend with the group so easily,
she joint most of the games and activities while taking care of her baby.
After that I got to know her personally when she’s study the Bible
She’s eager to learn and she’s open about her struggles
someone took her husband money and left their family in trouble
at first she hated that person so much, but now she can forgive him
Regina is great in cooking and she love to served
She came to my house and we cooked together before we continue study.
One thing I admire about her how she manage to take care of 4 kids by herself
because mostly her husband is working out of town and hardly home.
When her father-in-law passed away we went to service to pay respect
The Bible Study kind of stuck because of many things going on in our lives.
Recently Regina decided to move to Surabaya, her husband got a good job there.
I fell guilty because lately we haven’t continue the study
I also sad because I won’t see her and her beautiful children anymore.
Hopefully she will have a better life there and continue the study with other disciples.

friendship and christmas…
It’s the second time Angel and Rio come to our house
They are Johnson and Suryani kids, our family friends
They are so polite, always say “thank you”
and apologize for no mistake they make…
on their first visit they wrote me a card
not a regular thank you card but Christmas card
I think it’s cute because it’s not christmas yet
My kids always have so much fun at their place
I hope they also enjoy staying at our home

Yesterday was Moslem Holiday
I thought I’ll stay home with my family
but a family invite us to go to the beach
can’t resist an offer like these.

eventhough my body felt tired a bit
Johnson and Suryani are our old friends
We were close to each other as a young couples
Suryani and I get pregnant almost the same time
So Angel born only a week early from Jasmine
Although we end up moved to the south
our friendship keeps going on
they visit us when I delivered Edgar
not long after that their son Rio was born
Life goes on and the kids get bigger
they meet each other on Sunday school at church
from one sleep over and lots of SMS
now they all become best friends
South to West is not a short distance
but our hearts are connect to each other
yesterday on the beach we imagine our future
We’ll have a holiday together with our grandchildren

Last week I got a chance to go to East Java
My friends and I attend our church conference in Surabaya
So happy to meet many old friends from different cities
But what make me really happy when I got to met a woman
She’s used to stay in my house when she came few year ago
She came with her son Michael for a conference in Jakarta
although they only stay for couple days but it was memorable
She shared her struggles and we prayed together
I remember took their pictures and send them to her afterward
Then later on I heard that she got really sick
I was so concern about her situation
Thank God she survived and we can meet again.
She looks ok but still have to go to hospital twice a week
I also met her husband whom I never met before.
And her son Michael is grow to be a fine young man.
Before I left Surabaya they gave me a bag full of goodies
In the mist of their challenging life they still giving

In one episode of my life, I knew a little girl name April. She was a daughter of my friend. At the time our Church have a big sister program, I was the big sister and she’s my little one. We became friend, I don’t have to work very hear because she’s a lovely and smart person. I remember her writing a story about ants cover by chocolate, he even draw the pictures. I though she could be a great writer. I also remember we went to see the movie Mulan, and had such a great time. She told me that movie become her favourite over other Disney movies at the time. She was also patient with me when we play word games, since English is not my first language and I had some difficulties with that.
More than 10 years, After I have a daughter in her age when we were still together, fate brought us back through Facebook. I was so happy t meet my little friend who’s now a yound lady. She just as lovely as the old-time, in one of her comment on my wall, she thank me for being her friend back then. April…I miss you!
