my long and exciting weekend…

Started with celebrating the Ascession of Jesus
Thanks to Cynthia who cooked Tinutuan for us
and to Rebi who took this pic nicely

Visited the Orphanage with my Bible Discussion group.
So happy to be able to donate somethings
and see the kids have been taking care nicely there

With friends at BBC (Body Builder Camp) for 3 days
Learn about Vision, Mision and some other things
Hopefully can put most of it into practice soon

went to my parents house in the morning,
take a walk on the hill in the neighborhood.
the weather was great the skies are light blue
saw people jump from a chopper with parachutes.
Met my brother and his wife they wear red t-shirt
they’re attended the family day of their daughter’s school
but what excite me the most are…

Jump with my daughter.

Run down the hill.

Try to cheer up my son.

Get a kiss from my husband.

It’s been a long and fun weekend…

It started on Thursday for me, even though the holiday was on Friday. I spend almost all day outside the house on Wednesday, and come home really late that night, so I become very tired and decided to stay home on Thursday. It happen that my son Edgar was having fever and not going to school, so we both turned into couch potato that day. My husband went to work at noon, to make sure we are doing ok. Later on my daughter Jasmine came back from school and join us. I try to write something for the whole day, and end up upload my last topic after the sun goes down. Basically my day was filled with mix of these Logos bellow… am I bad or what?

Friday morning we went to our friends Rebi and Cynthia’s house. There were bunch of people coming and we have plenty of food (Fruits, snacks, fried chicken with rice)and drinks. Thanks to Binsar and Aida to arrange those foods. My friends Ben and Lily made up some games for us to play, it was really fun. I like the one where husband and wife were tied with ropes and they have to released themselves. I took many pictures while playing and eating at the same time. It was 3 pm, we are the last to leave the house, but the fun is not over yet. We’re going straight to our friend Ben and Lily’s home to try their new massage chair. I wasn’t too tired to enjoy the chair but I enjoy my talk with Lily, and she’s so nice to give Jasmine a new hair cut. We go home when it’s dark only coz we remember our dog need to have her dinner.

On Saturday, we have another fun with our friends Alex and Desi. We took the kids to the Baliview swiming pool. They actually have swam yesterday, but didn’t mind to do it again with us. Bryan their eldest didn’t come, but my kids have fun with Nuel. Yudi accompany them but I decided not to swim. Desi and I just stand by the pool while watching the kids and having a good time talking. Her Husband Alex also did not swim coz one of his toe is hurt. We spend good 3 hours there, the kids came out for awhile to eat and go back to the water right away. At 13.00 we have to kind of force the kids to stop because we have church service in the afternoon.

Then finally on Sunday, very early in the morning we left our house heading toward the city. We attended the Walkaton & Bikeathon 2012. This is a yearly event, walk for charity, and this year purpose is to help the TB patients in Indonesia. The fun thing about this event is, we got to walk about 10 km (from Monas to Bundaran HI then back to Monas) with our friends, no rush, take your time while talking and taking pictures. Many people bring their kids, babies even dogs. This is the protocol street of Jakarta which I rarely pass by car, let alone walking (accept for this event). When we get back, we can have fun eating with some entertainment, while the kids can play games. It was so hot out there but people seems to have fun. I got home around one and took a nap right away.

Took my kids to visit their friend’s house. They were really excited about it. It’s a bit far but we took the short cut through the village, only Edgar insist to ride his bike. We visit Luna, Jasmine’s friend, Ray, Edgar’s classmate, and Rama another friend from the same school.

Brought 50,000 in my pocket. I Spend 6000 for a plate of Ketoprak (I share with Edgar), 2,500 for bread (for Jasmine), 8,500 for bananas, 11,500 for flour (I plan to make friend banana). So total spending is Rp. 28,000.

Received book from Bandung. My friend Lena Pasaribu has been offer me to buy the book she wrote about her and her daughter Gisella. I order 2 exemplar. Let’s Curhat Mom! is the title.

Listened to Adele Song “Someone Like you”. My friend sends me this song couple weeks ago, but only today I really pay attention to it. My daughter Jasmine soon got into this song and we saw different people who sang it in YouTube

Wrote a script for my family devotional. My husband chooses the topic from Matthew 25:11. And he asked me to develop the story about Talent so we can act it out. I become the 3rd servant with 1 talent, and act as a really lousy servant.

Cooked boiled chicken with garlic and put some soy sauces to it. Not really good but not bad either. We ate some for lunch and they finished it at dinner.

Chatting with Tri, my friend from College. She’s an English teacher in Salatiga now. We catch up each other news in English. So happy to meet an old friend we haven’t contact for about 25 years. Thank God for FB.

How’s your weekend?

Friday after work I had a great time meeting friends at the mall
but caught in bad traffic on the way home.

Stop by at a store to buy present for our guest speaker tomorrow.
but forgot to buy a pair of black socks for my daughter.

Happy to see my husband already home with the kids.
but dissapointed for nobody help cleaning the doggie cage.

Took a hot bath and apply red nail polish on my toes
but missed spending time with my kids

Wake up late on Saturday morning try to catch more sleep
but rush to prepared my daughter for an event at her school

My husband wake up earlier
but busy preparing his speech

Have a nice conversation with my sister
But cleaning and washing tons of clothes are waiting for me

Cooked for lunch
but running out of time to cook a meal I was planning to make

Went to pick up my daughter
but it’s very hot outside and the traffic was so bad

Pick up my daughter on time.
but didn’t get a change to get money from ATM

Get home and eat lunch
but my friend call she might not able to come to the meeting.

Take an hour nap
but my kids are bothering me with their plays and fights

Get to the meeting place on time
but other friends who live closer are late

The food was great
but it take ages before we finally eat.

the lesson at the “ladies only” meeting was excelent
but we’re running quite late

My friend still want to have a Bible Study
but her husband asked her to go home soon!

Sunday Service and the Message was a heart warming.
but is not easy to walked with God and trust Him completely

Happy to meet a friend who just came back from out of town
but sad coz another friend was crying and rush to go home.

A friend buy me an ice cream and keep me company in the foodcourt
But wait a long time before my husband get out of his class.

Finished reading “slumdog millionaire” and love the story
but my mobile phone was run out battery, cannot make any calls.

Yudi kindly took me to visit a friend and help me talked
but then asked me to go home by myself for he still has a wedding to go.

Got home safely and eat my mother’s delicious fried banana
But have nothing prepared as I was planned

Have a prayer meeting with my family
but some people were absent.

Made it to bed before 10
but I felt really, realy, really tired
